How To Prevent Errors on Your Credit Report

without comments

Whenever somebody applies for credit or financing, his or her credit report will be pulled electronically from any of the three major consumer reporting agencies (CRA). These CRAs are Experian, Trans Union, or Equifax – companies that are responsible for maintaining correct and up-to-date credit information around the country. Everyone is probably aware that these three nationwide credit bureaus have to monitor billions of data records therefore it is not inevitable to find errors with the reports. A majority of consumers would have at least one omission or inaccurate detail on their credit report.

It is for this very reason that as a consumer, the responsibility of checking your own credit information falls on your shoulders. Make sure that you get a copy of your credit report from each of the three Credit Reporting Agencies. You should contact each credit bureau and ask for your free credit report (you are entitled to 1 free copy every year). If you have been denied credit within the past 60 days, you are also entitled to a free credit report.

Here is a list of each credit bureau. Make that call and start checking your credit info.

Equifax, P.O. Box 740241, Atlanta , GA 30374-0241;(800) 685-1111.

Experian(formerly TRW),P.O. Box 2002, Allen, TX 75013; (888) EXPERIAN (397-3742).

Trans Union , P.O. Box 1000 , Chester , PA 19022 ; (800) 916-8800.

Using The Internet To Obtain Your Credit Report

You can also use the internet to obtain your credit report. Many companies offer instant access to your credit report online and will offer you a free credit report if you try their credit monitoring service for 30 days. Credit monitoring services are a great way to keep track of your credit and stop potential identity thieves. As soon as you or someone else applies for credit using your name and social security number, these services will alert you via email. If you did not request this new credit you just need to log into your account and start the process of alerting the credit bureaus of potential fraud activity.

How is the information found on your credit report used

The credit information that is reported on your credit report will be used to evaluate you when you apply for credit, insurance, employment, and other purposes allowed by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). Therefore it is crucial that you review your credit reports for accuracy from at least annually.

Why is it important to monitor your credit report

By monitoring your credit report you will save yourself a lot of problems or unpleasant surprises when you have to get that credit card or if you’re considering buying a home. You will also be aware of any potential problems that may stop the credit grantor from approving you for the credit you seek. Knowing exactly what a lender will see when they pull your credit will allow you either try to dispute the items and have them removed from your report or prepare explanations for the credit problems and discuss them with your potential lender BEFORE you apply for that line of credit.

What to do if you find inaccurate information

- Be meticulous in examining your credit information. If you see any discrepancies, verify them as soon as possible. The law says that the credit bureau should examine the matter within a reasonable amount of time, usually 30 days.

- Dispute inaccurate information your credit report. Some credit repair specialist suggests you dispute items one at a time. Some say do it all at once. I have had clients that have done both, and there was never any one way that was more successful then the other in our case. I truly believe it depends on the agent you get at the credit bureau.

- Write an ORIGINAL dispute letter. Don’t just copy a form you found online. If you found it, then so did potentially hundreds if not thousands of other people. The agents at the credit bureaus in the disputes area have probably seen any freely given online dispute letter hundreds if not thousands of times. They will not take your request as seriously as they should if you do this.

The credit bureau is required to investigate and if that item cannot be confirmed within a reasonable amount of time, that credit record must be removed from the credit file. They must provide you with a free copy of your corrected credit report. Send your dispute letter to the credit bureau via certified mail, return receipt requested. If you are using a credit monitoring system you can do this online. Just make sure they send your dispute to all 3 agencies. If the credit bureau completes its investigation and decides that the negative information should remain in your file, you can add a letter of explanation to your credit report to refute the claim.

Guitar lesson: Learn To Play Every Breath You Take By Ear

    without comments

Wouldn’t it be nice to be able to play the hit songs you hear on the radio and be able to play them on your guitar even without tabs or sheet music!

In this guitar lesson we will use Every Breath You Take as an example.

The hits songs you hear are usually copyright protected and shouldn’t be found as free sheet music on the internet and really not as guitar tab either without permission from the copyright owner.

However I can tell you that I personally have saved a lot of money by my ability to play songs I hear by ear. I don’t have to buy sheet music and I can also play them as they are heard on the radio or make a guitar solo version of them.

To be able to play songs on your guitar by ear you have to develop your ear and your ability to find yourself around on the guitar fretboard.

In this guitar lesson I will show you how to play “Every Breath You Take” in the key of G. This means that you cannot play together with the original version by Police and Sting but I think it will be easier to play the melody on your guitar in this key.

    Guitar lesson part 1

The verse begins with the words “Every breath you take”

The chords on your guitar will be:

    G Em C D G

The melody notes you will need in order to play this song will be:

    G A B C D

A very economic melody as far as melody notes are concerned. But how do you play these notes on your guitar?

I will show you these notes with a form of guitar tablature that will be displayed correctly on article sites like this one. Some examples:

23 means that you press down the second fret on the third string.

03 means that you play the third open string. This means that you play the third string with you right hand without pressing down a fret.

In other words, the first number indicate which fret to press down and the second number which string.

    Guitar lesson part 2

Let’s go back to the melody notes you’ll need for the first verse:

    G A B C D

With the previosly explained guitar tablature the notes will look like this:

    03 23 02 12 32

I will not show you the melody. You are supposed to learn to find this out by yourself. I will only help you by saying that the first note to play is B and is notated 02.

    Guitar lesson part 3

Let’s take a look at the part of the song beginning with the words “Oh, can’t you see”

The chords will be (a bit simplified):

    C G A D

This part starts with the note G notated 03.

The notes you will need to use are:

    G B D E F# G A

and they are notated like this:

    03 02 32 01 21 31 51

This melody starts with the note G notated 03.

I will not help you more that this in this guitar lesson. The best way to learn the melody is by trial and error.

In the process of learning this melody you will also develop your ear and your ability to find your way around on your guitar.

This means that the next melody you will try to learn will probably be easier to learn!

You can prepare yourself to pick up melodies on your guitar by doing these two exercises:

    1. Learn scales on your guitar. Learn to play the scales up and down.

    2. When you know a scale well you can improvise simple melodies and play around with the scale and at the same time you will learn to find your way around the guitar.

The more you learn scales and create your own melodies on your guitar the easier you will have to figure out how a certain melody can be played on your guitar.

Legal Advice Steps for Juvenile Petitioning

    without comments

Nowadays, countless children are appealing in courtrooms for criminal behaviors. Parents are

asking everyday what is the best legal advice for their children’s cases. When a child is accused of a

criminal act, he is first arrested and then taken to a juvenile criminal court. The difference between

adult court and juvenile courts is that the parties at the defense table include parents, children, and a

probation officer. The parties will sit at a wooden table to discuss the charges and what the courts

should do to penalize the child.

The summons is the “legal” documentation that is sent to the parents from the onset of the charge,

thus requesting that both parent and child appear before a judge. During the “intake”–or else the

first hearing–the child attends; whereas the child is referred by the arresting officers to attend. Few

times, other sources such as parents, teachers, store owners or others will request a “referral” of the

child, which summed up is the “arrest.”

After the first couple of steps are completed, the “detention hearing” takes place. During this

procedure, it is up to the arresting officer to decide if the child will be released to the custody of the

parents or held in detention. The next phase is known the “intake decision,” where the case is

considered a “petition” case or “non-petitioned” case. If the case is handled under the non-petition

rule, then the deciding officers, probation officers, and so forth have decided that the case can be

handled without going through normal court proceedings.

The next phase may include a conference, and this will move onto the plea bargaining phase. Once a

plea bargaining conference begins and no plea is offered, the child and other parties will appear in an

“adjudicatory hearing,” where evidence is presented. While this is a brief set of steps, it is certainly

enough to provide an insight of what you will go through if your child has been petitioned to courts.

Steps to Make Auto Auction Work for You

    without comments

If you are running on a budget, or looking for a good buy at of course, the least cost for you, or maybe just scouting for your first car, the best place to look for great bargain finds is at auto auctions. Don’t let the word scare you.

It is relatively easy to get started on your first auto auction bid. The following are helpful tips to make your first purchase a lot easier:

1 Determine and Keep a Budget

Begin your auto purchase process by figuring out exactly how much money you have and you want to spend. Keep this budget in mind when you visit with your bank or bring your credit card and most importantly when you go and preview your car at the auto auction.

Bear in mind that on top of the car’s price, you still have to pay taxes, auction fee and prep fee, buyer’s premium, etc. Check with the auto auction venue.

    2 Obtain Financial Backing

Once you know how much to spend, find out where to get a loan to add to your budget. Auto Auction firms sometimes offer a pre-approved loan for you. You may also go to your nearest bank and try to negotiate a loan.

Bear in mind that you should choose one that fits your budget. Remember that you still have to pay that loan back so do not avail an amount that is more than you can handle.

    3 Preview Auto Auction Inventory

This is your time to locate one or two vehicle options. Look carefully at each vehicle too, as they are sold as is, where is. You will be able to start the vehicle and try all mechanical options such as air conditioners and power windows.

Be sure to thoroughly inspect the vehicles. It would be helpful to bring your trusted mechanic along. Or run a CARFAX on your vehicle so you are sure that your car was not wrecked prior to your purchase.

    4 Register

You have the option to register for bidding on before the auction. Registration fee at the auction varies depending on the auction firm and site. You may still need to fill out a simple registration card.

5 Place Your Bid and Buy

Each car will run by the auction block one at a time. When the car you want to purchase comes through, listen carefully to the auctioneer. He will begin bidding at a random price.

Raise your card when you accept the amount announced. Another interested party or two may follow your bid. Continue to bid on your vehicle until either the bidding has gone beyond your budget or you’ve won or lost the bid.

    6 Proceed to the Cashier

Once you’ve purchased a car, an Auction representative will escort you to the cashier’s desk where you will be required to place a non-refundable deposit on your vehicle. You may also pay for the entire balance at that time as well.

If you need to leave to visit your bank or if you want to enjoy the remainder of the auction, you can check-out anytime that day before the office closes

7 You may now Drive off with your Car

When you are ready to check-out, return to the cashier and pay the remainder of the balance. At that time you will sign DMV forms and a sales contract.

While all the paperwork is being handled, When you are ready to go, show your sales receipt to the check-out staff on the lot and the car will be brought around after completion of the auction. There will be no check out of vehicles during the auction. Everybody gets to check out the car only after they have paid and did all the paper work.

Tradition and style in a Persian rug

    without comments

Why buy a Persian rug and use it as an area rug? Let us have a look over what area rugs are all about. We all know it: some of the most important elements of homes and spaces in general are the floor coverings and there is hardly a house or apartment without a rug or a carpet. Rugs come in many shapes and sizes and there are thousand of different designs for each one. There are stylish and modern rugs, for places like art expositions or galleries ? to fit in or maybe complete the artistic atmosphere of the room. There are also enormous area rugs that match ceiling architectural patterns and cover the halls of museums or public institutions, like Parliament buildings or various palaces and many others.

Although there is a whole rug industry, one must admit that few equal the genuine Persian rugs. A Persian rug has always been the jewel of one?s home. Since the times of the ancient kings and their great empires, Persian rugs have held renown for their finesse and fine appearance. Their tradition lived on to this very day, when handcrafters still manufacture them with great care, to preserve the same qualities that always charmed their lucky owners. Next, we will go over a brief history of Persian rugs and we will learn why buying one as an area rug could be one of the best choices you will ever make in decorating your home.

The earliest Persian rug patterns and designs historically date back to the 15th century, although paintings and writings tend to indicate their existence to even older times, to Ancient Persia (c 3500 BC). They generally range within three groups, based on their size and named accordingly: Farsh – ‘Qalii’ (greater than 6×4 feet), ?Qalicheh? (?rug? in translation ? 6×4 feet or smaller) and Nomadic (Kilim) ? representing rough carpets.

The art of creating rugs exists in Iran since c. 500 BC. It has undergone many changes, based on the political, religious and social aspects of the time passing. There were always many varieties of the themes and styles used, like various geometrical patterns. Moreover, the art displayed mainly focuses on Islamic culture. It has always offered great stories which represented a steady pillar in the creation of the carpets, providing spectacular images of surreal events (godly battles in the skies, hyperbolical features of heroes and gods or simply tales that will live forever in the worldwide culture) ? writings that will always offer sensational and mind-thrilling feelings.

The most sought-after type of Persian area rug in, let us say, modern times, is the 16th or 17th century woven Persian rug. One of the most remarkable rugs discovered in modern times is the ?Pazyryk? carpet, uncovered beneath the Pazyryk valley, during an archaeological excavation back in 1949, in the tomb of a Scythian prince. Readings showed that its manufacture occurred during the 5th century BC, thus being one of the oldest carpets in the world.

Common 16th and 17th century carpets designs include scrolling vine networks, medallions as well as arabesques and overlapping geometric compartments instead of humans, animals or story-inspired imagery, like the older ones. These motifs will always bring a great artistic touch to every floor they will cover, their royal allure also carrying their well-earned reputation of the great kings? universal preference in matter of exquisite decorations.

Their lucky owners will nevertheless have to worry about maintaining the ?lifespan? of their Persian rug, as it would a pity to treat such a fine work of art without care. In this matter, you can always find the help you need online. Here, on our website, you will find reviews and recommendations concerning all there is to know about how to choose an appropriate area rug or Persian rug and all the other details necessary for owning such a precious floor covering.

Women Must Not Lose Hope In Dealing With Their Fears

    without comments

When your fears and depression have the best of you, it is easy to feel that things will not get any better. This is not true. There is much help available and the best way to deal with your fears is to find effective ways to overcome them. As a result, here are some techniques a woman can use to help manage their fears and anxieties.

You never know when the answers you are looking for will come to your doorstep. Even if the thing that you feared does happen, there are circumstances and factors that you cannot predict which can be used to your advantage. These factors can change everything. Remember: we may be ninety-nine percent correct in predicting the future, but all it takes is for that one percent to make a world of difference.

Challenge your negative thinking with positive statements and realistic thinking. When encountering thoughts that make you feel fearful or depressed, challenge those thoughts by asking yourself questions that will maintain objectivity and common sense. For example, your afraid that if you do not get that job promotion then you will be stuck at your job forever. This depresses you, however your thinking in this situation is unrealistic. The fact of the matter is that there all are kinds of jobs available and just because you do not get this job promotion does not mean that you will never get one. In addition, people change jobs all the time, and you always have that option of going elsewhere if you are unhappy at your present location.

Some people get depressed and have a difficult time getting out of bed in the mornings. When this happens, a person should take a deep breath and try to find something to do to get their mind off of the problem. A person could take a walk, listen to some music, read the newspaper or do an activity that will give them a fresh perspective on things. Doing something will get your mind off of the problem and give you confidence to do other things.

Be smart in how you deal with your fears and anxieties. Do not try to tackle everything all at once. When facing a current or upcoming task that overwhelms you with a lot of anxiety, break the task into a series of smaller steps. Completing these smaller tasks one at a time will make the stress more manageable and increases your chances of success.

Take advantage of the help that is available around you. If possible, talk to a professional who can help you manage your fears and anxieties. They will be able to provide you with additional advice and insights on how to deal with your current problem. By talking to a professional, a person will be helping themselves in the long run because they will become better able to deal with their problems in the future. Managing your fears and anxieties takes practice. The more you practice, the better you will become.

The techniques that I have just covered are some basic ways to manage your fears and depression, however your best bet is to get some help from a professional and not to lose hope. Eventually, you will find the answers you are looking for.

Car and Truck Line Up for Chevrolet 2007

    without comments

Chevrolet was co-founded by Louis Chevrolet, a race car driver, and William C. Durant. William Durant, founder of General Motors, had been forced out of GM in 1910 and wanted to use Louis Chevrolet’s designs to rebuild his own reputation as a force in the automobile industry. On November 3, 1911, Chevrolet entered the automobile market to compete with the Ford Model T. A year later, the “Classic Six” was introduced. The Classic Six was a five-passenger touring sedan equipped with a 299 in3 (4.9 L), six-cylinder engine capable of taking the car to a top speed of 65 miles per hour (104 km/h).

Chevrolet first used its “bowtie” logo in 1913. This logo is said to have been designed from wallpaper Durant once saw in a French hotel. Reportedly, in 1908, Will Durant detached a small piece and kept it in his wallet, waiting for the day he’d put it to use. The Bowtie became an advertising icon, and is still the marquee of today’s Chevrolet.

In 1916, Chevrolet was profitable enough to allow Durant to buy a majority of shares in GM. After the deal was complete in 1917, Durant was president of General Motors, and Chevrolet was merged into GM, becoming a separate division. In the 1955 model year Chevrolet introduced the small block V8 engine, the most famous and versatile V8 engine ever produced. This engine became a hit with hot rodders and almost overnight became the engine of choice replacing the flathead Ford engine as the hot rodders preferred motor. In 1955 the 265 cubic inch engine was the smallest V8 engine offered by the big three U.S. automakers, however, no other U.S. car could out perform it.

Famous Chevy models include the large and luxurious Impala (1958) and the innovative air-cooled rear-engined Corvair (1960-1969.) Chevrolet had a great influence on the American automobile market during the 1950s and 1960s. In 1963, one out of every ten cars sold in the United States was a Chevrolet.

Now let’s take a peek at the 2007 line up of Chevrolet:

    2007 Chevrolet Avalanche

Chevy’s redesigned 2007 Avalanche retains its forebear’s midgate magic, but the entire package has been overhauled as part of GM’s full-size truck platform revamp. Three trim levels are available: LS, LT and LTZ; each can be equipped with rear, or four-wheel drive. At 221 inches long, the Avalanche is about the same length as its predecessor and just an inch short of Chevrolet’s extended-length Suburban. A coil-over-shock independent front suspension replaces the previous torsion bar arrangement. The 5.3-liter V-8 in the four-wheel-drive Avalanche LTZ makes 310 horsepower and 335 pounds-feet of torque. Two-wheel-drive models carry a different version of the engine with slightly higher output, while a 6.0-liter V-8 is optional across the board. All three engines come with a four-speed automatic transmission.

    2007 Chevrolet Aveo

Longer, taller and wider than the outgoing Aveo, the new sedan has an all-new exterior and interior design that gives it a more upscale look. LS and LT trim levels will be offered and customers can look forward to a wide range of features, including a two-tone interior color scheme, a radio input jack for iPods, a power sunroof, a six-disc CD changer, and steering wheel-mounted audio and cruise controls. Built to carry five 6-foot-tall adults, the larger Aveo also provides 12.4 cubic feet of trunk space, and that’s before the 60/40-split rear seats are folded down. A 103-horsepower, 16-valve DOHC four-cylinder engine is mated to the Aveo’s standard five-speed manual or optional four-speed automatic transmission.

    2007 Chevrolet Malibu

In the Malibu, a four-cylinder engine and two V-6s are offered. For 2007, the smaller V-6 gains variable valve timing for an 8 percent power increase. Other changes this year include standard side curtain airbags on all models (they were previously standard only on top-level Malibus), a passenger sensing system for the front airbags and available turn-by-turn directions with GM’s OnStar service. Trim levels include the base LS, as well as the LT and LTZ. Compared with its predecessor, the current version has a slightly wider stance. Mounted on a 106.3-inch wheelbase, the Malibu is 188.3 inches long overall. LS models ride 15-inch tires, the LT gets 16-inchers, and the new LTZ rides on 17-inch rubber. LTZ models feature aluminum wheels.

    2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer

The 2007 TrailBlazer offers a standard 4.2-liter inline-six-cylinder engine as well as an optional 5.3-liter V-8 both working with a four-speed automatic transmission. The latter engine includes General Motors’ Active Fuel Management technology, which deactivates four cylinders under light loads such as highway cruising. TrailBlazers come in base LS and step-up LT trim levels. A high-performance SS model packs a sport-tuned suspension and a 6.0-liter V-8 from Chevrolet’s Corvette sports car. The TrailBlazer rides a 113-inch wheelbase and measures 191.8 inches long.

Chevrolet is General Motors’ largest brand currently offering 19 vehicles and many different enhanced versions. The brand’s vehicles range from compact cars to large SUVs.
