How to train your Dog

without comments

Every owner wants to give training to his dog. But it is not as simple as it looks like. To train a dog, one should have a great patient and knowledge about how to train a dog.

Normally you can see that puppies are habitual of biting and grabbing each other by their mouths. The very first thing you have to teach your dog is that human skin is more sensitive than a puppies or a doggie skin and his habit of biting hurts you. Although a puppy biting is not so harmful but a adult can cause a severe damage when it bites. For this, what you have to do is that whenever your puppy tries to touch you with its teeth, in harsh tone say ?OUCH?. It will show to your puppy that it will hurt you.

Also you have to teach your puppy that ?OFF? means not to touch. For this every time when you give meals to your puppy, do the following process for at least 5 minutes:

Hold some dry food in your hand, say ?Take it? with love and give a piece of food to your puppy. In the mean time hide rest of the food in your hand and say ?Off? with a lovely voice. If your puppy has not touched your hand for next 5 seconds then say ?Take it? and give him a piece of food again. Do like this daily for 5 to 10 minutes. It will also help to stop your dog from mouthing.

The most important thing you should do to civilize your dog is:

1. Always REWARD your dog whenever it will do something, which you expect from him. By doing this the result is that your dog will continue to do that thing.

2. Never REWARD it for what you don?t want from it to do.

But always remember that a reward for a dog is different from the reward for a person. As a reward, give it something what it likes. For example: Freedom, Food, Ball, which your dog likes most. Sometimes punishment is also necessary, but it should be very rare. Punishment should be given to it only for ?Anti-Social? behavior. As a punishment you can hit your dog or do something what the dog doesn?t like. For example: ignore it for some time etc. This will help you to train your dog very much.

Dogs like to listen their name in your talks. So use its name when you want to call it. Or if you want to give it snacks or food, use your dog?s name instead of saying ?Snacks? etc. It will also help you to call it back.

You should give around one hour to train your dog. It should be five to ten minutes at a time and two to three times per day. So that it will be habitual of those things which you want to teach your dog

    Gourmet Coffee Tastes So Good

    without comments

When creating decaffeinated coffee the European process involves having the beans soaked in water and washing the beans with methylene chloride. The treated beans are then dried and roasted. Gourmet coffee beans from this plant are usually harvested from this tree three times a year for 30 years.

Gourmet coffee made from the beans of this plant tastes great and holds a premium position in the market. Gourmet coffees from Arabica coffee beans boast of a finer aroma, richer flavor, and more body than those made from Robusta beans. The Robusta beans on the other hand, are known for their disease-resistance properties and are more popularly used in commercial blends.

People enjoy the taste of the sophisticated beans used in the making of this delightful gourmet drink. When purchasing coffee beans from different areas they all go through the same type of process. Beans are picked, dried, and sorted pretty much the same way.

The coffee and tea market has become so popular that the exports of some countries are coffee and tea alone, we spend more than $20 billion a year on coffee, that is a lot of coffee. No seems to disagree that a cup of gourmet coffee is definitely better than and average blend of coffee.

Gourmet flavored coffee lovers just don?t seem to get enough from their coffee desire. Gourmet flavored coffee is becoming very popular and many people are like the different flavors that have been coming out in the market place.

If you would like to appreciate a cup of gourmet coffee, take some time to taste other coffees and compare, make sure you use the fresh beans to compare them equally. There are gourmet flavored coffees that are caffeinated and those that are decaffeinated. Some of the newest gourmet flavored coffee includes vanilla, macadamia, and even peanut butter.

Gourmet coffees come in so many different flavors like Toasted Almond, French Vanilla, and Hazelnut. If you want to try something a little out of the ordinary then you can try one of the flavored varieties. When preparing coffee it should be prepared from the bean that is fresh, instead of having the bean ground for you take the time to do it when you want to drink the coffee.

Usually you need a machine to do this and espresso really brings about the right flavour of the coffee beans. Espresso is black coffee and requires a stream of steam which is passed over the coffee beans.

Gourmet espresso beans make excellent gifts for all occasions, especially if your recipient is a certified coffee lover. When brewing an espresso this method needs the least amount of time to prepare but need the beans ground very fine to get the taste just right. You can find espresso machines at any wholesale store or online and you can purchase the gourmet beans at any specialty store or online

There are many coffee shops that have popped up and they seem like they are on every street corner and they sell coffee beans, you can also find these gourmet beans in supermarkets or specialty shops.

    Buying a used car

    without comments

Buying a used car can be risky if you don?t carry out detailed checks on the vehicle. It?s not always easy to determine the history of a used car, but it?s crucial for ensuring you buy a safe, roadworthy and legal vehicle. How do you know how old it really is? Has it been stolen? Is the mileage genuine? Has it been involved in any accidents? Here?s a guide to what to look out for when looking for a good used car.
First of all, the safety of a used care can depend on where you buy it. Franchised dealers tend to be the most reputable, whereas at the other end of the scale private sales carry the most risks.
With a franchised dealer, it?s likely that the car will have come from a reputable source and will have been thoroughly inspected and all faults fixed. The after-sales service should be good as well, with many franchised dealers offering excellent warranties. Another key benefit is that you should be able to part-exchange your old car, to save you the hassle of selling it yourself.
Buying a car from a franchised dealer is the most expensive option, though, so many people instead use independent dealers or private sellers. The advantage of using an independent dealer is that their prices can be more competitive and they tend to stock older cars. Check whether you?ll get a warranty, though, and find out whether the model is an import ? specifications can vary a great deal and you may not get as many features on an import as you would with a UK model sold at a franchised dealer.
The cheapest option can be to buy privately, but this carries the most risk as you don?t know who you?re dealing with and you don?t have the same statutory rights and protection as you would when buying from a franchised or independent dealer. The motto with private sales is ?buyer beware?. This doesn?t mean that all private car sales are dodgy and unreliable though ? there are many crooks out there, but a good many more honest and legitimate sellers. It?s just a matter of checking carefully and acting cautiously before you jump in and buy.
When buying a used car, the main things to look out for are whether it has been involved in a crash ? which could have compromised its safety; whether it has been written off and illegally put back on the road ? perhaps ?cut and shut? from two different car wrecks; whether it is stolen; whether it has outstanding hire purchase or finance owing; whether it has been illegally ?clocked? to make it seem as if the car has a lower mileage; and, on a less sinister note, whether everything is still in full working order.
The best way to ensure that you don?t end up with a lemon is to get a car check done by an expert. The AA and RAC carry out thorough checks on used cars and can provide reassurance and peace of mind. There are a lot of things you can look out for yourself, though.
For example, some signs that the car has been clocked are worn screws on the dashboard, a very low mileage for the age of the car (10,000 to 12,000 miles is the average annual car mileage), misaligned digits on the counter, or signs of wear and tear that would indicate a higher mileage such as chips and scratches around the bonnet and bumper or worn foot pedals. Mileage must be recorded annually on the car?s MOT certificate, so inspect these certificates to check for discrepancies or whether the MOT certificates have been amended or forged.
Spotting a ?cut and shut? is more difficult as they can look just like legitimate cars. Look inside the boot and bonnet of the car to check for different paint colours. Also look out for signs of joins or welding, particularly at the bottom of the door frame or the top of the windscreen. Also ask to see the vehicle registration document (V5) and compare the engine numbers and chassis numbers against those on the car.
As with any product, things can start to go wrong with age and normal wear and tear from everyday use. The older the car, the more likely it is to have faults or problems. Take plenty of time to inspect the car thoroughly to ensure that everything is safe and in working order. Don?t be afraid of wasting the seller?s time or appearing suspicious ? if they are legitimate, they will not be offended. Also take the car for a test drive to see how it feels and sounds. Check that the steering handles properly, the brakes work, the instruments and the lights on the dashboard are all in working order, the tyres have a tread depth of at least 1.6 mm, the seatbelts work, the windscreen wipers work, there are no leaks in the window, door, sunroof or windscreen seals, and that the engine looks in reasonable condition with no oil leaks. Also ask to see the MOT certificates, service history and vehicle registration document.
If you have any doubts after checking the car and documentation or are suspicious of the seller, walk away. You could find yourself seriously out of pocket if you buy a car that turns out to be stolen, faulty, written off or still under a hire purchase agreement. More importantly, though, your safety could be at stake and it?s just not worth taking the risk.

The New Trend in Breast Pump Design: Massage

    without comments

Once as a mother of a breastfeeding infant, I found myself in a circumstance where I was in need of a serious breast pump. I rented a hospital grade breast pump of a major brand. The first time I used it, I did not know whether I should be sick or faint. I wish someone had warned me that I would see my nipples assume a pointy shape that I had never dreamed they were capable of. I immediately wondered why they could not design a breast pump to work like a baby?s mouth. From what I observed, the baby compresses the areola and nipple with mouth and jaw action. Although I cannot see what is going on inside the baby?s mouth I am skeptical that a breast pump replicates that action. Breast pump design harkens back to machines that were intended for milking cows. Most breast pumps tug or pull on the nipple in a suck and release rhythm. What you see is the nipple going ?point, relax, point, relax? like some enthusiastic member of an aerobic exercise class.

Now enter the newest innovation in breast pump design: the massaging breast pump. Some breast pumps claim or seem to have more of the massage element than others. The Playtex Embrace Breast Pump, the manual Dr. Brown?s Natural Comfort Breast Pump and the Whittlestone Breast Expressers are all pumps that express milk without stretching the nipple in the tug-and-pull style. The Avent Isis breast pumps, manual and electrics, have funnels with Let-down Massage Cushions, which have massaging petals or bumps on it. These massaging petals move in and out with the suction rhythm of the pump. Medela and Ameda are the longest established and most reputable makers of breast pumps. Their most recent innovations have been in areas of design not related to massage: the 2-Phase Expression in the Medela Symphony, Medela Pump In Style Advanced, Medela Harmony and Medela Swing breast pumps and the Hygienikit feature in the Ameda Purely Yours and Ameda Elite breast pumps. These companies have each made one small contribution to the massage trend: the Medela SoftFit breast shield and the Ameda Flexishield flange. These parts work with any of their breast pumps and massage by flexing in a more static way, accompanied by the traditional tug-and pull suction.

Are these massaging breast pumps more comfortable, more effective at expressing breast milk, or at least, do they feel more like a baby nursing than other pumps? I have read hundreds of breast pump reviews and I find the two major complaints against breast pumps are issues of comfort and effectiveness at removing breast milk. Addressing just the comfort issue, there can be many causes of discomfort and it is important that women investigate and eliminate those causes in their breast pumping where possible, to prevent injury and to expedite milk let-down. However, I am inclined to believe this unnatural tug-and-pull motion can be the cause of emotional and physical distress to women until they get used to it or overcome it with persistence.

Now who can object to massage as a concept? Of all these massaging breast pumps on the market only one has received enough independent consumer reviews to satisfy me that consumers have reached a positive, though not unanimous, consensus about it. The other breast pumps are just too new or have not been marketed extensively enough to know whether women will find them more comfortable or more effective than traditional vacuum-only pumps. I applaud efforts to redesign and improve the breast pump, but I can only now hope for a time that most breast pumps will deliver on their promise of feeling just like baby.

Watch Satellite TV versus Cable TV

    without comments

Watch satellite TV or should you go for cable TV? This long-drawn question or rather debate has been on for years. Perhaps a little more research and comparison of the two can help you to decide whether you should watch satellite TV or go for cable TV. People go for different things when they are making a choice as to whether satellite TV or cable TV is more suitable for them and their families. Essentially, there are some clues or features that differentiate the two and you can actually use them for comparison before making a final conclusion if to watch satellite TV is better for you.

Satellite TV and Cable TV can be compared generally in terms of the quality of the picture, program variety, control and interface functions, pricing, bundled package and the availability of the system. Now, sometimes it is not really a choice for you whether to watch satellite TV or cable TV.

Let me explain. Take for instance, you want to watch cable TV but the place you stay does not have a cable network. Simply put, you can only watch satellite TV programs then. But folks who enjoy cable TV also could face difficulties if they decide to switch to satellite TV. If you live in a built-up urbanized district with many high-rise buildings, your satellite dish system could be obstructed and fail to receive well. Likewise, your home may be a rented place and your landlord refuses to permit any external fixtures. So be sure to check this out first.

Satellite TV and cable TV competes fiercely on almost everything we mentioned earlier. They try to outdo one another by offering more feature-packed controls, cheaper installation and equipment, more TV programs and variety, special bundled deals with hand phones and phone lines, thrown-in gifts, steeper discounts and loyalty rewards for renewing contracts. They have probably done anything you have known on earth to keep their subscribers and to win over those from the other side. Consumers who watch satellite TV or cable TV benefits in the end. Do not feel embarrassed about approaching the satellite TV and cable TV service providers and negotiate with them for better deals. You would be pleasantly surprised that sometimes, they are more than willing to offer you unadvertised goodies.

Some folks watch satellite TV and cable TV or at some point have tried both before. The general consensus is that satellite TV tends to be richer in the TV program quality. Satellite TV offers many international programs and the program spectrum is wide, covering educational programs, entertainment in the form of movies, sports events, and world news and current affairs. The language choices also meant that foreigners or people across the globe can watch satellite TV channels more readily than cable TV.

Satellite TV systems typically are more feature-packed and offer more control functions than cable TV. Subscriptions for satellite TV services are also much cheaper than cable TV. However, there are also areas where cable TV surpasses satellite TV. The setup of a satellite dish system can be rather complicated and the application is less preferred in urban cities where view of the clear sky is limited. Cable TV setup on the other hand is simple and hassle-free.

Be sure to compare the two types of TV systems before coming to a decision. There is now a third choice which is to watch satellite TV on PC using a piece of software which can be downloaded at my blog for quick installation. You can be watching satellite TV from a selection of hundreds of TV channels in the next hour from now.

Multi Media Players – the choices are yours

    without comments

Portable multimedia players (PMPs) are electronic devices that are capable of storing and playing files in various media formats. Digital audio players (DAP) display images and play videos. These are also considered to be PMPs. They use data that has been stored on a hard drive, micro drive, or flash drive of a home computer.

There are three significant types of digital audio players.

Flash-based players hold audio files on internal or external media. For example, memory cards. Due to the limitations of technology, the storage capacity is rather small.

Hard drive-based players or jukeboxes are devices which read audio files from the hard drive. They have a far more larger capacity. This means that thousands of songs can be stored easily in one mp3 player.

The third to mention is Mp3 CD Players. These are simply devices that can play audio files from a CD and CD-ROM.

As mentioned, several different formats can be used including audio, mp3, wav, video, mpeg, divx, xvid, bmp, jpeg, and gif. They typically feature a color LCD, or OLED screen. Some have the option of recording video and audio or come equipped with built in card readers. Graphics of the newer version provide awesome graphics to enhance your video quality. Mp3 players are extremely popularized and are cost effective. They vary in the amount of storage capacity which of course, has some bearing on price. Ipods are also widely significant in the arena of portable entertainment.

Podcasting is also a major craze of the times. A pod cast is simply a digital media file (or series of files) that?s distributed online using syndication feeds. It?s an automatic mechanism to which multimedia computer files are transferred from a server to a client. The provider acknowledges the existence of the particular file by making reference to it in another file known as the feed.

To be conservative, pod casters may search for an online pod cast directory. The original purpose of the podcast was to allow individuals to distribute their own creative radio shows. This tool can even be essential for teachers whom sometimes use it to record vocabulary, documentation, verify homework, etc. It certainly is a well thought out tool. Another in the major crazes is Zune. It makes reference to Microsoft?s digital audio player, client software, and online music store. It plays music, videos, displays pictures, receives FM radio, and has the convenience of sharing files through wireless convenience with other Zune members. It?s upbeat with the quality and convenience of the current status in media competition.

Anyone who has talked on the phone in a noisy commercial or heavy industrial work environment can appreciate what this means. It means that you can stand in front of talking colleagues or next to an operating piece of industrial machinery and the person on the other end only hears your voice and that’s without shouting into the phone. Another feature is automatic voice systems that allow you to use the key pad or take notes while using the phone.

Conference Call Etiquette You Need To Know

    without comments

I have worked for large company for several years and have been on more conference calls, tele-seminars, and tele-training calls than I can remember. Those experiences have led me to develop a list of ?Conference Call Tips and Etiquette? that can help make conference calls more pleasant, run smoother, and help avoid embarrassment. I?m sure the list I?ve put together isn?t all inclusive but it does cover the major things I have experienced or learned about during the course of all those calls I?ve been on.

    – Find a quiet place. Background noise will be heard on the call and it can be very distracting to other participants. If you are at home and have small children playing nearby or have a noisy dog, try to find the quietest part of your house. The other participants on the call will appreciate it. If it is not possible to be away from the noise, mute your phone whenever you are not talking. Pressing *6 will mute most phones.

    – Avoid Using A Cell Phone. Try to avoid calling into a conference call from a cell phone whenever possible. Cell phones add tremendous background noise to a conference call. If a cell phone is your only choice, muting the cell phone is a necessity whenever you are not speaking. Also, make sure you are not driving when you are on you the call.

    – Be on time for the call. Don?t get on the call late and expect someone to catch you up with what is going on while everyone else waits. It is rude and disrespectful to the other participants to not be on time. It gives them the impression that your time is more important than theirs.

    – Don?t Use The Hold Button. Do not put the conference call on hold if your phone has hold music or those annoying beeps that sound every few seconds. To say it is a huge interruption and distraction for everyone else on the call is an understatement. I was once on a conference call for training on a new software product our company was introducing. Someone else put the call on hold for nearly 20 minutes and we ended up listening to her hold music for the entire time. If you have to leave a conference call for any period of time, hang up the phone and call back in when you are ready to rejoin.

    – Be Cautious With Cordless Phones. If you are joining a conference call from a cordless phone make sure the phone does not have a lot of static background noise. Usually static background noise starts when you start to get out of range of the phone base or is you get near another device that interferes with phone such as some small electric appliances and answering machines.

    – Avoid Shuffling Papers. One very annoying thing that some people do on a conference call is shuffle papers. It sounds very loud on the phone. Other small potentially noisy habits to avoid are : continually clearing your throat, tapping your pencil, drumming your fingers on the desk, etc.

    – Be Aware Of Whether Or Not Your Phone Is On Mute. If you do put your phone on mute while on a conference call, and it is always a good idea to do so whenever you are not talking, remember to take it back off mute when you talk. Likewise remember to put it back on mute when you are finished. Nearly everyone who has been on conference calls regularly can recount at least one memory of someone forgetting to put their phone back on mute and then saying something that was definitely not intended for the ears of the other conference call participants, such as a negative remark about something relating to the call or another person on the call.

    – Be Polite. Do not try to talk over another person on the call even if you feel you have a very important point to cover. It is in bad taste to do so and will result in everyone else on the call not being able to understand what you or the other person is saying. Be patient; wait until the other person has finished; and then talk.

Following the above tips can help make conference calls more successful, and more importantly, take up the least amount of time possible so you can get to 1,000 other tasks you have to accomplish like taking a time management course! But that?s another story.

    A Bodybuilding Back Routine Day

    without comments

May 14, 2007 – It’s competition time! Get ready for a killer back routine day in the life of a pre-contest bodybuilder.

A tale of stacks and carbs – Two weeks out from competition:

4:30AM-Kick-in-the-chest! I rip the covers off and swing my arm over to turn off the fan that has been sucking the moisture out of my brain all night. There’s got to be an alarm tone that won’t induce a mild heart attack every morning. It takes a minute of clutching my chest to make sure my heart doesn’t make a run for it. I can never figure out if I am going to sleep in a pool of sweat or have cold chills all night, I usually know half way through the night if I have to flip my soaked pillow. It has become an adventure to make it to the bathroom with my eyes glued shut from dehydration.

In truth I cant wait to wake up because between the crazy dreams from the stack and my growling stomach. Wake up time is an end to the 360 flips I do all night. I get to have breakfast. The thought of three shredded wheat biscuits and 4.6 oz of chicken is a touch of heaven in this cruel land of depletion. I just need to make it through morning cardio first. That means a stack to get rid of the jitters and a liter of water to unstick my tongue from the roof of my mouth. I enjoy feeling full for about ten minutes after breakfast, and waiting another two and half-hours to calm the gremlins again.

I can tell this is going to be one of those days where I get to spend 45 minutes of treadmill time watching leg press lockouts and coffee pot seminars at the water fountain. Wow, these people really enjoy their social outings. Shmucks.

Isn’t this special? I hope someone decides to do stretches on the back hyper machine again, just so I cant bring in my lower back in time for the contest. Nice, now that Mr.Buttercup in the corner is all loosened up on the back hyper, I can warm-up myself.

9:00 finishes off my first client of the day and now its home to eat and take a nap before I phone Jay “the freak” Riddell to make sure we are still on for back today. He’s six weeks out from provincials and we’re pushing hard. The phone call confirms it, 11:30, parking lot of Mac’s by the L.R.T. in downtown Calgary. Sounds like the callout for S.W.A.T. Time to drop my second stack of the day and put a liter of distilled water down range.

Doesn’t seem to matter how much of this stuff I drink, it feels like I got sand in my eyes every time I blink. The training pace has picked up so much that we don’t have time to grab water any more. It’s almost tempting to lick the sweat off the bench so I can swallow.

“Hey Ray”, huh? There’s that little evil voice again. Keeps saying I need extra carbs today because I’m looking flat. I hate that guy. Every time I start to lean out this voice decides to put up residence in my head. He gets really loud and annoying about 11:00 at night when I want to sleep. Usually something like, “Don’t you need an extra ounce of beef with those veggies so you don’t go catabolic during sleep?” Like I said: I hate that guy.

How To Get Zyprexa Legal Finance – Lawsuit Funds

    without comments

No – Risk Legal Financing for Zyprexa, Class Action Lawsuit Plaintiffs

Plaintiffs involved in pharmaceuticals class action lawsuit and product liability lawsuit like Zyprexa, Vioxx, Fen-Phen etc, can now get Lawsuit cash advances. 99% of plaintiffs involved in lawsuits do not realize they can get cash advance while they are waiting for their settlement money.

Zyprexa (olanzapine) is a second generation or atypical antipsychotic medication produced by Eli Lilly and company. Zyprexa was FDA approved for the short-term treatment of acute manic episodes in bipolar disorder.

In 2003 the FDA required that the class of drugs known as atypical antipsychotic, including Zyprexa, include warnings about increased risk to patients of development of diabetes and hyperglycemia. In 2004, a federal prosecutor announced an investigation of Eli Lilly, in relation to the techniques it has used to market Zyprexa.

To date, over 16 million people have used this drug. The FDA has identified there have been 384 reports of diabetes Zyprexa side effects, including 23 deaths. There have been many questions regarding the popular drug Zyprexa and its safety. The potentially fatal Zyprexa side effects have resulted in Zyprexa class action and product liability lawsuits.

A risk free source of legal finance is now available for plaintiffs involved in Zyprexa class action lawsuit and other pharmaceutical products liability lawsuits. It is called Lawsuit funding or often referred as Lawsuit loans, Legal funding, Legal finance, Legal financing and Lawsuit pre-settlement funding, Loans for lawsuit, Pending lawsuit loan, Cash advance on lawsuit, Funding lawsuits, Funding lawsuit, Litigation funding and Legal cash advance, but these are not loans because the money does not have to be paid back unless the case is won or settled.

These are non- recourse lawsuit cash advances. It carries no risk because plaintiffs pay back only when they get their settlement money from defendant company.

It does not seem fair for the plaintiffs, that even if they have won their Zyprexa class action and product liability lawsuit, the money they get may come too late. They need money now. Most of the plaintiffs, because of their medical conditions have missed work or lost their jobs. They can no longer meet their mortgage/ rent or car payments. Many of them may be one or two payments away from foreclosures. They may be in need of medical treatments. They need to pay education expenses of their children.

Pharmaceutical drug class action and product liability lawsuit or litigation can take years to settle, which can be a problem if they are sick or are unable to work. They can have a solid pharmaceutical drug litigation claim and a strong legal team, but the drug companies have deep pockets.

Legal finance or so called loans for lawsuits can help them buy some time with a cash advance on their pharmaceutical drug litigation settlement.
