Complaints are a part of doing business. No matter how superior a company is with service to their customer, there are always some customers that are just not satisfied, or situations arise with their service that cause customer dissatisfaction. Most large companies realize that complaints are a part of their business.

To illustrate this point, think of a national company that you love to do business with (Wal-Mart, Sports Authority, Costco, Home Depot), and do a search on Google for complaints on this company by typing in the company name and then the word ?complaints.” You?ll see that even with the best companies, there are pages and pages of complaints. Sometimes it is just very difficult to please everyone. And some people you can never please.

The Better Business Bureau states, ?The finest businesses get complaints. When considering complaint information, please take into account the company?s size and volume of transactions, and understand that the nature of complaints and a firm?s responses to them are often more important than the number of complaints.”

It is always a wise practice to do your homework on a company before doing business with them. There are many unscrupulous companies in today?s world that you want to avoid. How can you tell? What avenues are there in determining what company is best for you?

A good place to look is the Better Business Bureau. You can find them at www.bbb.org. Some things to consider when looking up a company report:

Is the Company Listed? – If not, that should be a big red flag. They are either too new, are flying under the radar so as not be noticed, or they aren?t a registered company.

Complaints Ratio – Compare the number of complaints to the company’s customer-base they are servicing. If the company has a high rate of complaints, more than 5% of its customer base, then they have a customer service problem. Less than 2% to 3% is an acceptable range. There will always be customers, for some reason or another, that are never satisfied. You?ve probably dealt with some.

Resolution of Complaints – How many complaints have not been resolved? This indicates if a company makes an effort to resolve customer issues.

Rating – What type of rating has the BBB given this company? An unsatisfactory record means that the company has demonstrated practices that are misleading or deceptive, or it has failed to cooperate in efforts to resolve consumer disputes. A satisfactory record means the company has cooperated with the BBB to resolve consumer disputes and is not involved in practices that could be considered misleading or deceptive. The company must also be free from an unusual volume or pattern of complaints, as well as any law enforcement action involving its marketplace conduct.

Bottom line ? Do your homework. Give the company a fair review. Make sure you feel good about doing business with them.

    1. The Too-Busy Mom. The Too-Busy Mom is always on the go, rushing from work to the gym, to the grocery store, to baseball practice, to the dentist and to social events.     4. The Dictator. The Dictator Mom has the first and final say about anything and everything, and is never questioned or challenged. She knows what is best for her family, and will not hear an argument to the contrary.

    While a Dictator Mom is confident in her parenting ability, values, and general decision making, her parenting style may make her children feel as though they do not have a voice in their own home.

    5. The Overachiever. The Overachiever Mom runs her family like a business, complete with to-do lists, calendars, and detailed instructions for basic activities. Her goal is success for all members of her family, and she gives up a lot to make it happen.

    The Overachiever Mom is organized, and helps to keep her family running smoothly. However, her goals for the children may not be in line with their own aspirations, and so her children may feel stuck on her path, or concerned they will let her down if they choose another.

    There are positives and negatives about each parenting style, and there are times when we have to be the authority, have an eye on our kid’s futures, be the confidante, protect them from danger, and schedule activities for them.

    But what we really need to recognize is how our parenting style may be affecting each of our children. What might work for one child may not be effective for another. One child may thrive under your style, while another may react negatively to what you bring as a parent.

    No matter what your parenting style is, just being aware of it will help you to be a better parent.

    CLASS 2 POWERED WHEELCHAIRS

    Class 2 powered wheelchairs can travel up to 6.4kph (4mph) on pavements and on the road only to cross from one side of the road to the other. They can be divided into sub-sections:

    Indoor use only

    ? for indoor use; ? small turning circle; ? could be used on a level patio area or in a small, level garden; ? short distance range.

    Indoor and outdoor use

    CLASS 3 POWERED WHEELCHAIRS

    These tend to be larger than Class 2 vehicles and can be used on the roads where they can travel up to 12.8kph (8mph).

    Owners of class 3 vehicles do not have to hold a current driving licence. Drivers should be disabled and aged 14 or over, and they must be familiar with the Highway Code and drive in accordance with these rules at all times. This includes complying with relevant eyesight requirements and not driving under the influence of alcohol. Class 3 vehicles are not allowed on motorways, cycle lanes or bus lanes. Although legally allowed on dual carriageways, the size and relative slow speed of a Class 3 wheelchair can be hazardous to larger, faster moving traffic, and the driver may feel extremely vulnerable.

    It may be possible to enrol on a training course and receive instruction on how to drive your wheelchair safely on the highway. Your local road safety officer or Mobility Centre may know of courses running in your area.

This letter informed them that he was creating a unique referral network of 100 of the area’s top professional service providers. He invited them to become members and explained that he needed them to recommend 10 others who belonged in this exclusive group. He then created a resource directory and website that featured all 100 professionals. The entire group promoted the directory and web site and referred business to each other. As a result, other professionals begged to be allowed into the group. The strategy was so powerful that many of network members did no other form of marketing.

    Once you put your group together there are many ways to take advantage of power of this new sales force.

    Create a blog network

    If ten or fifteen related businesses were to get together and create a blog focused on a specific target market, in a specific geographic location, they could easily create a very valuable local resource. With very little effort this blog would rank very highly for local search engines terms related to the blog topics. Even with the mainstream recognition of blogs, this is still a wide-open opportunity.

    Breaking Psychological Barriers

    Before 1954, running a sub four-minute mile was considered to be impossible according to physiologists at that time. It was thought that a four-minute mile was the physical limit of the human body.

    Six weeks later, Landy, broke Bannister?s record by running a 3:58.0.

    Later that year, in the ?Mile of the Century?, in a race to decide who was the fastest miler in the world, Bannister ran a 3:58.8 to Landy?s 3:59.6. It was the first time two men had run sub-four-minutes miles in the same race.

    By the end of 1957, sixteen runners had accomplished the feat. Now what was thought impossible has become common, at least among elite runners. John Walker of New Zealand ran at least a hundred sub-four-minute miles in his career but American Steve Scott has the most with 136. The current record in the mile is 3:43.13, held by Hicham El Guerrouj of Morocco.

    Another long-standing psychological barrier in the world of sports was Bob Beamon?s incredible long jump of 29? 4 1/2? (8.90 m) in the 1968 Olympics. Beamon didn?t just set the world record. He demolished it. In a sport where records are broken by inches and seconds, Beamon shattered the record by nearly two feet. He not only became the first man to jump over 29 feet but he was also the first man to jump over 28 feet.

    Oddly enough, Beamon?s coach at the ?68 Olympics was Ralph Boston. In 1960, Boston had broken Jesse Owens long jump record set in 1935. It had held for 25 years. From 1960 to 1967, the record had only advanced by 8? inches.

    Beamon?s incredible leap was thought to be a freak accident that would never be duplicated. It was an accomplishment that was totally beyond Beamon?s or anyone else ability at that time. Beamon never came close to that mark again. It was considered to be the athletic feat of all time.

    In the late eighties, Carl Lewis had begun to creep closer to Beamon?s mark. With his world record speed in the 100 meters, Lewis had advanced the long jump record to 28? 7??.

    In the 1991 World Championships in Tokyo, five days after just setting the world record in the 100 meters by running it in 9.86 seconds, Lewis’ 10-year unbeaten streak in the long jump came to an end, even though he put together the greatest series of jumps in history. Lewis had never before reached 29 feet, and this day he did it three times, including 29-2? (wind-aided) and 29-1? (against the wind). But Mike Powell, who had lost 15 consecutive times to Lewis, unleashed the longest jump in history — 29-4? (8.90 m). Powell had stunned Lewis and the world by finally beating the 23 year-old-record.
