Steam Juicers – A Different Way Of Making Healthy Juices

without comments

Steam juicers are perhaps one of the most versatile juicers available today. You can steam your way to a healthy lifestyle by making natural juices and delicious meals.

This steamer can be used for making soups and even baking almost all types of meats. You can steam your own fresh juices without having to worry about peeling, squeezing, pitting or stemming, making your juicing experience a simple and pleasant one.

The ease of the steam juicer makes it possible for anyone to be able to use it. The gentle steaming process does all the work for you.

You can even use the steamer for cooking rice, vegetables, chicken, turkey, puddings, cakes and so much more. There really is so much that you can do with one of these gadgets. It will make you love cooking in the kitchen again.

The large steamer insert can also be used as a colander to quickly drain noodles, vegetables, freshly washed lettuce and more. The process of the making the steamer ready for juicing is very simple.

You simply fill the bottom pan with water and place the whole fruit in the colander portion and cover it with the lid, letting it simmer on the stove for one hour. The steam quickly gets through the skin of the fruit, breaking down the fibers and extracting the juice.

When using it to steam foods such as rice and vegetables, they will always turn out light and tender, never tough or over cooked and juicers.

The quality of the foods is so much better with a steamer as you do not lose the valuable nutrients and vitamins. Eating healthy will become second nature to you and you will notice that you will feel better when you incorporate healthy eating habits.

When shopping for a steamer, keep in mind how you will want to use it and how often you plan to use it. Try and find a model that fits your needs and is not overly complicated to use.

    Economize on VoIP

    without comments

Does your telephone monthly bill cost too much? Are you chafing at the additional fees and taxes the telephone company has charged you? If you answered yes to these two questions then VOIP is just right for you.

Voice over Internet Protocol or VOIP is one of today?s prevailing communication technologies. Imagine making telephone calls using the Internet through your computer or your telephone. That is exactly the technology VOIP brings to you that no wonder, it is gaining lots of users from all over the world.

What makes VOIP favorable is not just the way it?s engineered to let people choose the medium where they?d want to communicate. It?s actually the prudence of VOIP in letting users avoid wasting money that makes it worthwhile.

When you use VOIP for telephone calling, low cost is a guarantee. You can save up to $50 or more on your monthly telephone bill. And this is actualized through VOIP?s ?limited? and ?unlimited? calling plans.

Limited calling plans enables you to call someone for a limited time. This could cost you for as low as $15-$20 monthly. On the other hand, unlimited calling plans let you talk till you drop at any given time. And this is not just applied to local domestic calls. There are also unlimited plans for long-distance calls. Imagine how practical this is if you make dozens of long distance telephoning. Certainly, a hearty amount of savings will be generated for you in a course of a year.

However, if you turn out to be someone who makes phone calls internationally then VOIP is still for you though unlimited calling plans doesn?t apply to these. What generous telephone company would ever charge you as low as $.10 per minute for international calls? Only VOIP. And if you get lucky, you may find a VOIP provider that offers unlimited calling plans for international calls among its own subscribers. Visualize the rewards if you have relatives to call in other countries.

Furthermore, if you travel oftentimes, you?d better take advantage of VOIP. You only have to bring your adapter and hook it to high-speed Internet then you?re ready to go. Calls will be made through someone?s VOIP number and it doesn?t matter wherever the person is. This means no long distance fees on your hotel and cellular phone bill.

Also, VOIP provides three-way calling, voice mail, etc. and using such comes with no fee, which is impossible if done through a landline phone company.

And best of all, unlike your regular phone company, VOIP will not charge you taxes and regulatory fees.

Landscaping Tips – Hiring The Right Landscaper

    without comments

Although we live in a do-it-yourself culture, there are sometimes when it pays to hire a professional. Landscaping can be a perfect example of this. A quality landscaper will have equipment, know how, design skills, and talents to transform your property into a living show piece.

Landscaping can be complicated and labor intensive. It can require specialized tools and equipment. Landscaping is also an art, and the experts have a strong understanding of good design, composition and aesthetics that allows them to make the most of any piece of land. Professional landscapers also possess voluminous knowledge about various plants, grasses and trees that assists them in making the best possible decisions for any given job.

Try as we might, we can’t, as amateurs, produce the breathtaking results that a professional landscaper can. Thus, if we need serious landscaping help, it makes sense to call in the expert. That part of the decision calculus is relatively easy. Once we decide to hire a pro, however, another question emerges: how can we choose the right landscaper. Let’s look at a few helpful hints that can point those in need of professional landscaping assistance in the right direction.

First, don’t let cost make your decision. We have a natural inclination toward bargain hunting, but the old maxim “you get what you pay for” is often true. A cut-rate provider may keep your wallet thick, but the grass could turn out thin and brown. Cost is always a consideration, but one should not compromise the integrity of their landscaping project in order to save a few dollars.

Second, ask for reference and then take a look. Get references from prospective landscapers and then take the time to actually follow up on them. Take a personal look at their handiwork and see what you think about the quality of their efforts. Talk to former customers about the landscaper’s ability to get work done on time and other important considerations. Your landscaper will be making potentially permanent changes to your property. Take the extra effort required to make sure those changes will be positive.

Third, call appropriate agencies. Check with the Better Business Bureau and other consumer watch dogs and find out whether the landscaper in question has been the subject of any complaints or valid criticisms. This is not a foolproof way to weed out sub par options, but if you find that a prospective contractor is a magnet for consumer complaints, it only makes sense to think twice before hiring them.

Fourth, talk about the project. Before making a decision, spend time on the property discussing the project with the landscaper. Get a feel for his or her vision of the project and find out whether or not he or she is receptive to your ideas and capable of meeting your specific needs. The fact that a landscaper did a wonderful job on a modern commercial property doesn’t necessarily demonstrate an ability to handle the yard of your restored Victorian home, after all. Make sure you have found the right person for the job.

Following these recommendations won’t necessarily guarantee landscaping success, but doing so will improve your odds of hiring the right landscaper considerably. Remember not to cut corners, to check references, to consult with consumer agencies, and to have a meaningful discussion or two about the project in order to assess whether a specific landscaper is the right person for the job.

Landscaping may not always be a do-it-yourself project, but that doesn’t mean you have to rely on the first professional you find in the Yellow Pages. Take the time to find the right landscaper for you!

Tenant Loans – Tenants Can Get A Personal LoanToo

    without comments

There has been an enormous growth in the volume of credit per head of population in the UK over recent years. No more so than in the area of tenant loans where demand is particularly high.

As house prices have continued to rise, it has left a large number of people with little or no chance of climbing on to the property ownership ladder. No matter how hard people save, house prices always seem to rise faster than your level of savings. The only alternative to living with parents in this situation, is renting your property and many people have chosen to do just that.

This in itself has given impetus to the burgeoning buy to let market, so there is quite a bit of choice in most areas now for people to exploit. Rented accommodation comes in all shapes and sizes nowadays, from flats and apartments to grand, multi-bedroomed detached properties, so ‘you gots your money, you takes your choice’!

And with the growth in the numbers of tenants in the housing market, we have seen a corresponding growth in the numbers of applications for credit from this sector. Of course, without a property to secure the finance on, the loan must be of the unsecured type. Since, from a lenders’ perspective, the loan could be of a higher risk, they will often take a long, hard look at your credit history through a credit search as part of your application process.

Does It Matter About My Credit History?

Here, they assess whether you have missed any payments or defaulted on any loans and credit in your recent past as this will give them an indication as to the likelihood of a similar thing happening again in the future and thereby jeopardising the lender’s investment in you. If your credit history is clean, your chances of raising the finance are very much increased and you will have access to a wider choice of lenders who would be keen to work with you on your application. On the other hand, just because you have the odd late payment etc on your record doesn’t now exclude you from borrowing the money you need.

These days, tenant loans are available to many more people than in times gone by. Lenders are deriving new product ranges aimed specifically at this sector and streamlining their processes through improved technology to enable them to remain competitive.

The tenant loan could perhaps otherwise be known as a personal loan however because it cannot be used for business or commercial purposes where slightly different rules apply. This means that you could use the money for things like:

    - a new car, motorbike or caravan

    - going on a far-off, luxury holiday

    - kitchen or electrical equipment

    - consolidation of existing credit into one personal loan

…although it’s almost certain that you can think of many more reasons to borrow than these. Taking out a personal loan can help you to achieve all of these things and more and it’s usually a very simple process to apply.

There are plenty of online brokers you can go to. Just fill in your details in the online enquiry form and within a few minutes you will probably have a call from a personal loan consultant to help guide you through the process. You will probably be able to get a decision in principle straight away and following your return of the completed credit agreement and supplementary documentation, your loan will normally complete within a week or so. Simple!

Tenant loans and personal loans are a way to experience the nicer things in life, today. See what you could do!

    Keeping Records and Paying Taxes

    without comments

It is necessary to keep adequate records to find out how your business is doing and what sort of profit you are actually making after expenses. However, it is also necessary to keep records to satisfy the demands of the taxman. As a sole proprietor, you need to be ready to fulfill the demands of the IRS. This can be especially confusing, since for a sole proprietorship, your expenses for a business or often intimately intertwined with your personal expenses.

You need to distinguish what are legitimate business expenses that are tax deductible. Be sure that your record keeping system, whether manual or computerized, is set up to be able to fill out IRS Form 1040C. You want to be able to clearly state your gross sales, your profits, and your expenses and deductions. This is a necessary function. Many businesses are now using computer software to fulfill tax information and other functions. Software can also help you develop a business plan. If you are a relatively small business, you can use the cash method of accounting, and you won?t have to account for future sales or inventories. For the IRS, ?small? means a business whose gross sales are under $1 million. If you need to include your inventories in your calculations, you can use the cash valuation method.

Your tax deductions for expenses can come from many sources. If you need a car for business travel, you can deduct a portion of the depreciation of the expense of the car over each year. You can deduct office expenses and transportation expenses for tax purposes. There are also real estate expenses for the premises where you do your business. If you use a portion of your home for business purposes you can deduct these expenses. If you need to buy or rent real estate for your business, this is also deductible. You can deduct 50-percent of meal and entertainment expenses associated with your business. You can deduct sales tax, property taxes and many other taxes and fees that you pay to local, state and federal authorities, from your general tax bill as calculated from the 1040C form. This is one of the reasons why record keeping is so important for your business and a proper calculation of your tax expenses. Records generally need to be saved for at least three years. If you ever get audited on your taxes, you?ll find out why.

12 Ways to Sabotage Your Career Change: Are You Relying on Any of These Strategies?

    without comments

It’s Tuesday morning after a long holiday weekend. How does it feel to be back at work?

Do you wish you had a more fulfilling job or career? If so, you are not alone. Over 60% of employees are dissatisfied or unengaged at work.

Most people in this situation long for a job/career that’s satisfying, engaging, and meaningful. The problem is most people don’t know how to go about finding such a career. Many of them spend years trying, but failing, to find the kind of career they want.

Do any of their strategies remind you of your own career change tactics?

    1) You spend a lot of time wishing you had another job OR you spend a lot of time dreaming about a particular career. But for all your wishing and dreaming, you don’t take action to implement your ideas.

    2) You believe “The Answer” will appear one day–so you keep waiting. The truth is meaningful careers evolve as a result of exploring your interests and trying out new experiences.

    3) You fall into jobs. When opportunities present themselves, you jump at the chance to leave the job that isn’t working–without fully examining the realities of the new position.

    4) You choose a career because the people around you think it’s a good move. Whether the money and status are good or the job is consistent with your education, other people think the job is a good fit, so you take it.

    5) You get caught up in the ‘I Could Do That’ Syndrome. You meet someone at a party who tells you about their career. You try it on, check it out, and run into a snag or meet someone else whose career seems more interesting. You are so busy trying on everyone else’s careers; you don’t know what really works for you.

    6) You attempt to identify a new career based on one interest or skill. Perhaps you are good with people or you like to work with numbers. Unfortunately working with one clue doesn’t give you enough to go on.

    7) You jump headlong into the new career you’ve chosen without testing the waters. As a result you know nothing about the job and it’s potential. In fact, you don’t even know whether you’ll enjoy it or not.

    8) You target a career that looks great from a professional point of view. The problem is taking the job forces you to live a life you don’t want. In the final analysis, how good is that job?

    9) You talk yourself out of job/career ideas faster than you can research them. As a result you discount possible careers based on the unsubstantiated assumptions you have made inside your own mind.

    10) You are afraid to commit to a career direction for fear you won’t be able to enjoy any of your other interests ever again. Have you ever looked for ways to combine your interests to meet several needs at once?

    11) You give up on your career idea as soon as you hit a bump in the road. Rather than look for creative alternatives, you tell yourself to give up your dream and just accept the job you have. As time progresses, however, you get so frustrated with your situation you realize you have to do something! You start the roller coaster ride one more time?until you hit the next bump.

Will Your Elementary Age Child be Successful?

    without comments

You may have heard that you should read to your children when they are small. You’ve probably also heard that you need to stay involved with your child. But do you know the secrets behind helping your child be successful?

Each child is different which means their needs are different. You as a parent know your child best. But if they have a different personality from you, or have a different way of learning then you do, then what do you do?

In retrospect it is easier to see where you went wrong with raising your child. But you want to get it right the first time, because you do not get a second chance. My son is 20, and I now realize that I was way too hard on him as a child. I wanted him to do his best, so I was always telling him how to do things better. Even though he is very bright and successful, I now see where this hurt his self-esteem. He saw himself as not being good enough. When I would compliment his work, I was usually adding, but why don’t you do this… or it would be better if… So leave your compliments as compliments, unless there is a very good reason for correction.

It always irritates me to hear adults say that their parents pushed them to do the things the parents liked and wanted them to do. I’m talking about the parent who wished they had been a football star so they push their child to be one. Or the parent who pushes their child to be a doctor when the child is not the least bit interested in being a doctor.

I believe there are times when it is beneficial to make the child stick to an activity. If your child shows interest in playing the piano, then by all means, make them do their lessons even when they don’t want to. If your child dislikes playing the piano, they are not going to learn to love it by you forcing them to take lessons.

What is it your child is interested in? Help your child excel in what he or she is interested in. My son loves working and playing on the computer. I did not have a problem with this because I would often check on what he was doing on the computer. He would play different games, but he also taught himself how to set up web pages. When he showed interest in learning how to program the games himself, I went and bought him a book on how to program games. His father and his grandmother always said he spent too much time on the computer! In fact his grandmother once told him he needed to watch tv! She thought that would get him off of the computer. He and I both thought that was an absurd suggestion. My 20-year-old son is now making $3,000 a month from web sites that he and a friend set up, and their income is growing every month. — Help your child excel at what they like to do!

So Will Your Child Be Successful? You are the main influence that can help determine that. To learn more about helping your child succeed, sign up for my free newsletter at the web site listed below.

    Menopause Symptoms

    without comments

The symptoms that menopausal women report vary widely. All women experience irregular or shorter periods during the year or so before their periods stop altogether. The majority of women going through menopause also experience hot flashes. These typically begin with a feeling of mild to intense warmth in the upper part of the body, spreading to the face. Hot flashes may last for several minutes, and be accompanied by sweating and blushing. Their severity varies from mild to causing extreme discomfort. In some women, hot flashes may occur while asleep, causing them to wake up, resulting in insomnia or sleeplessness. Headaches and a racing heartbeat may also be experienced during menopause, sometimes coinciding with hot flashes and adding to overall discomfort.

Women going through menopause may experience a number of emotional symptoms. These include irritability, depression, anxiety, fatigue, lowered motivation and tension. While these emotional symptoms are a normal part of menopause, they may also be found in a variety of other conditions. It is best to consult a doctor if emotions are getting in the way of normal daily activities.

Many women have joint and muscle aches during menopause. Some of these women may be developing osteoporosis, a condition in which bones become weak. Hormonal changes during menopause, and a lack of sufficient physical activity, aggravate the development of osteoporosis. A doctor should properly evaluate any joint or muscle pain.

A distressing symptom some women experience during menopause is some loss of bladder control. Decreased estrogen levels cause this; estrogen helps keep the pelvic muscles that control the bladder strong.

Women going through menopause typically experience reduced sex drive. Some of this is attributable to vaginal dryness that develops during menopausal hormonal changes. Insomnia, depression, anxiety and other symptoms experienced during menopause may also contribute to decreased libido.

Menopausal women suffer a range of symptoms in varying severity: loss of periods, hot flashes, emotional disturbance, joint and muscle aches, bladder weakness and loss of libido. Fortunately, much is known about their origins, and there are many treatments available to improve them.

    How to write well

    without comments

In order to write anything well, it is recommended to always begin with the objective in mind. If you are clear about the purpose you want to achieve while writing, then your article would be focused on the chosen topic.

Before beginning to write, write this down on a piece of paper: “After reading my article, my readers should _______________. “ Now fill in the blank with what you want your readers to do after they finish your article. This will make clear in your mind the objective you want to achieve.

After you have made your objective clear, the next step is to write down the key points you want to cover in your article. Note down all the important points you wish to cover. Then arrange them in a proper logical sequence.

For this article, I wanted to cover the following points which I wrote down on paper: objective, points, revise, title.

You now have a good framework for your article, the rest of the work should be easy now. Start writing about each point mentioned in your list.

Do not worry about grammar, spelling, typing mistakes etc. as of now.Just try to put your thoughts on paper and prepare the first draft. Continue writing till you finish covering all the points, do not stop to edit before that even if you feel you are writing rubbish.

When you have completed writing about all the points which you originally planned to cover, now is the time to re-read your article and make any changes you want. You may correct spelling mistakes, grammatical errors, if any or whatever other changes you want to make. Your initial task was just to put your thoughts on paper without bothering about anything else.

After you have re-read and revised your article to your satisfaction, think of some suitable title for it. Postpone the task of coming up with a title till the last because you are likely to think of a suitable title only after fully finishing the article.

Another important point to remember is that if you want to write or speak well then you have to concentrate on increasing your vocabulary. The more command you have over words, the better can be your writing. So it is recommended to focus on and devote some time regularly to expand your vocabulary.

An Important Suggestion#: While writing, keep a thesaurus handy and make good use of it. Refer to it frequently in order to eliminate using the same words repeatedly which sounds bad while reading. Use alternative words instead of persisting with the same word always.

    Social networking & staying safe

    without comments

Social Networking areas are basically websites with services that can help connect old and new friends using a load of tools like blogs, profiles, internal email systems, photos galleries and video galleries. Well known sites include Bebo, Myspace, Friendster, Ninebean and LiveJournal and have become an significant part of todays culture.

    Stay in Control:

There are a number of things to think about when using social networking sites:

Be careful what information you give out…

Be careful what information you give out on your profile, blog and through the images you post. Remember that you don?t know who your friend?s friends are? or your friend?s friends? friends, basically your extended network! And you don?t know what they?ll do with your picture or your phone number if you inadvertently give it out. Use a nickname or your initials on your profile ? you don?t want just anyone knowing your name.

Think through who you want to chat to…

Think through who you want to chat to, and how many of your personal thoughts you want anyone to view. Sometimes, it can seem a good idea to share what you got up to with your boyfriend last night, or the argument you had with your best mate; but as you?re writing ? remember that information could be public forever! Test yourself by asking ?would I want my teacher/Mum/Dad/ stranger on the train to see this?!? If the answer?s no? don?t post it!

Be careful who you agree to accept…

Be careful who you agree to accept into your forums / private chat areas. Unfortunately because there are so many young people using these sites ? adults with bad intentions will sometimes use them to make contact with children too; so you?re safer to only chat to people you know in the real world. Even if you know someone? who knows someone? who knows a person ? unless you do; it?s better to keep it that way! Always better to be sfae than sorry…….

Know where to go for help…

If you feel anyone is being weird with you or your friends; or if someone is bullying you on one of these sites ? contact the administrator of the site. If it?s really serious ? like you think the person contacting you may be an adult who wants to abuse you or your mates, report on this site using the reporting button.

    Things to think through:

Only upload pictures that you?d be happy for your mum to see ? anything too sexy to be passed round the dinner table should NOT make it on to the web, as it could encourage sex-pests to contact you

Don?t post your phone number or email address on your homepage. Think about it ? why would anyone actually need this info when they can message you privately via the internal system?

Don?t post pictures of you or your mates wearing school uniform ? if dodgy people see your school badge, they can work out where you are and come and find you

Adjust your account settings so only approved friends can instant message you. This won?t ruin your social life ? new people can still send you friend requests and message you, they just won?t be able to pester you via IM

Tick the ?no pic forwarding? option on your Myspace settings page ? this will stop people sending pictures from your page around the world without your consent.

Don?t give too much away in a blog. Yes, tell the world that you are going to a party on Saturday night. But don?t post info about where it is. Real friends can give you a call or drop you a text to get details, and strangers shouldn?t be able to see this kind of information.
