So what is Gatso 2? Well, Gatso 2 is a network database that promises to be one of the most pervasive surveillance systems in modern times.

It may be defined as a national vehicle movement database that works round the clock. It is supposed to basically monitor and log everything on British roads and retain the data for a minimum of two years.

The system uses the Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) technology and will be overseen from a control centre in Hendon, London. The Gatso 2 network extends, enhances and links already existing close circuit TVs, ANPR and speed-cam systems and databases.

If things go according to plan, the control center will go live before April of end next year. Estimates say that the system will process around 50 million number plates per day by the end of the year. To begin with, the ANPR system is on trial on the M42 motorway near Birmingham to enforce variable speed limits and then will be modified to handle more serious crimes.

So what does this mean for UK’s motorists?

Untaxed, uninsured, stolen cars are running undetected on UK roads and the Gatso 2 intends to tackle this problem with an iron fist. The primary aim claimed for the system in the broad sense is denying criminals the use of public roads.

Reports say the ANPR cameras will be spaced by placing one every quarter of a mile on motorways. This is a clear indication that the Gatso 2 system will also be used to enforce speed limits, which will effectively drive the current generation Gatsos into extinction. Otherwise, using cameras to check a vehicle’s tax and insurance status around every 15 seconds would be unrealistic.

One of the major payoffs from the government viewpoint is the creation of a comprehensive tax database. Also, as a result of the ANPR system being linked to a database of uninsured vehicles, new offences and police powers were announced by the Transport Secretary Alistair Darling.

So, now the previously harmless pastime of owning an uninsured vehicle but not driving it has been criminalized and it comes on top of the last breakthrough of keeping an untaxed vehicle in the garage and not driving it. In other words, even if you don’t actually commit the crime now, you have to pay the penalty.

With such a powerful surveillance system, vehicles can be followed remotely and a particular driver’s past movements can be put together easily. The system also has the potential to recognize and store images of your face.

The biggest and by far most important advantage of this system is the role it has to play in the war against terror. The police can move quickly in response to tip-offs and sift computers, search homes and investigate an individuals circumstances and friends in search of evidence. At such a time, having this system as a back-up to let the police know where the person has been for the past two years is a big help to the investigation.

I had a chance to listen to a one-hour teleseminar by Johnny Wimbrey recently and managed to jot down a few points for the readers to benefit. The topic matched nicely with the points that we’re discussing here.

What are the 7 critical distinctions between a producer and a procrastinator?

Here are a few points Johnny Wimbrey talked about.

1. A Producer Is A Winner But A Procrastinator Is A Whiner.

Producers have a winning mindset. They eat, sleep and breathe winning possibility. These are the people who surround themselves around other winners. They allow themselves to be mentored by other successful people, and they become students for life. If there are any problems, they know that they themselves are bigger than the problems they face.

Procrastinators have stinking thinking and always look at things in a negative perspective. They focus on personal and external limitations. 3. A Producer IS Optimistic But A Procrastinator Is Pessimistic.

Producers address challenges in life effectively. They understand that there will be hard time and although nobody likes hard time in life, producers are always prepared to face circumstances. They see through the clouds and believe that there is always sunshine.

Procrastinators run from challenges. In fact, they don’t like facing them. They are fearful and when challenges arise, they feel stressed as if they couldn’t charge through hell in life.

4. A Producer Takes Risk But A Procrastinator Makes Wishes.

Risk takers create moment of possibility through invested time, money and energy in their dreams. Producers know that they have to be ’sacrificial’ and give something up so that they can get up in life. They don’t know what tomorrow will bring but they are ready to face the unknown.

Procrastinators hope for the moment of possibility. They wish that their dreams come true and become content and comfortable. They fear the unknown and are not ready to step out of their comfort zone. In the end, they stay where they are with the unfulfilled wishes.

5. A Producer Has Visions But A Procrastinator Has Only Illusions.

Producers have faith in their decisions. They see obstacle and see through it. They know that they will get their goals with their actions. That’s why producers are firm believers in goal setting. They start their journey now and don’t delay.

Procrastinators want their results based on sight, meaning that they have to see the results first before taking action. That is why there’s always lots of reasons why they do not get started at something. What they do is only inventing obstacle that does not exist in the first place.

6. A Producer Has Preparation But A Procrastinator Has Improvision.

Producers are always prepared and they inspect what they expect. For example, if they have speaking engagement, they will make sure that everything like research on topic, target audience and appropriate content is taken care of. And, they will make sure that what they expect to deliver will satisfy the audience. Then, they stay on plan.

Procrastinators don’t expect to be successful. Whatever happens will happen and they keep on hoping that their wishes come true. They move by emotion and after information.

7. A Producer Execute But A Procrastinator Makes Excuses In Life.

Producers have an attitude that they MUST be successful. They will implement and execute the right principals to reach their goals. In order for them to be successful, they will participate in anything that will lead them to their goals. Producers also have a sense of urgency in what they do and they begin with an end in mind.

Procrastinators, however, just have justifications. They will justify for any reasons why they fail in life. They WANT to be successful but don’t think that they MUST be successful. It leads them to postpone their action because of their dead-end mind says so.

To summarize, I have to admit that these 7 critical distinctions between a producer and a procrastinator are a reminder for you and me. We will fall in one of these two categories in life, but we have to realize it quickly and align ourselves with the producer mindset.

With all the mental and emotional confusion, religion, science, and a materialistic philosophy fail to provide adequate answers that would give a proper meaning to the word “life” to the suffering soul. How then does one find a way out of the darkness? By returning to basic principles which lies at the foundation of a spiritual way of life, an the understanding of those laws which brought the universe into being. One should harmonize one’s way of life with Cosmic Laws and not violate them. Probing the nature and purpose of those Laws and principles one senses the import of God’s Plan of evolution. Living in accord with that Plan leads to a purposeful and meaningful life. Studying the ontological life of man and the universe cannot help but upgrade the quality of man’s philosophy and attitude towards life, and when daily applied, yield positive results in soul-growth. The transformation of society begins with the enlightened living of an individual. All of the problems in society may be traced to lethargic individuals who procrastinates in maturing spiritually. The metaphysician, as a preceptor of spiritual values, should, therefore, strive to reach and teach those individuals comprising society the laws and principles of harmony, abundance, and creativity ere an enlightened standard of life is to be seen on a social scale. The Laws and principles dealt with briefly in this paper are helpful in aiding metaphysicians to stimulate individuals with the qualities of inertia and excessive inharmonious motion (misapplied energy) as related to their spiritual evolution. Perhaps the two most important laws that we did not discuss heretofore but are essential in improving one’s understanding of life are the laws of reincarnation and karma. The expositions of these laws are to be found in various literature relating to the spiritual side of life.

All of the Laws and principles that we have discussed and those that have not been dealt with but are o be found in spiritual literature should be infused in individuals of all strata of society. Our modern methods of communication, and the various media make it feasible for the modern metaphysician to reach out to hundreds of individuals at a given moment. It is said that a person does not live on bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God. It is incumbent upon the metaphysician, his moral duty, to be God’s mouth-piece and to offer heavenly manna to humanity. Manna may be sweet in the mouth but bitter in the stomach–or contrawise; nevertheless, people must be awakened and made aware of their higher destiny which goes beyond the bounds of the physical plane. Life here is precious and it should not be wasted. The opportunities it provides for the evolving soul are incalculable.

A philosophy of life based on eternal values is a priceless gift that any person may give to the aching heart. Even a single law of Truth may transform a negative expression when applied in a sincere manner. This may start a chain-reaction in which a single act of kindness executed in one’s field of awareness may eventually save a person in dire distress, a person living at the opposite end of the globe, and beyond one’s conscious knowing. If “evil” has the power to destroy, love has even more power to construct and save. A spiritual, metaphysical education is as essential as an academic one. A balanced educational system in which the spiritual side of man is developed in conjunction with the intellect creates a harmonious growth of man’s innate divinity. In psychological terms, this is the unification and usage of the right and left hemispheres of the brain, and is the foundation of our modern accelerated learning methods.

SUMMARY AND CONCLUSION

In this paper we have put forth our two themes concerning the Absolute Reality of man’s nature and the conventional, relative reality that man consciously or unconsciously create in his everyday life. We have also dealt with the many Laws and principles related to these two forms of reality and how they may be applied in the metaphysical field. We have noted, for instance, how a metaphysical awareness of another’s divine identity raises and stimulates that person’s consciousness. In the section on healing, we have seen the importance of clearing the causes of inharmony within the body as well as the symptoms; we have likewise shown how the psychosomatic principles of man may be healed by the many exoteric and esoteric methods, and of the usage of world-scriptures as a medium for conveying the eternal, metaphysical truths, and the mystical interpretation thereof has likewise been dealt in a succinct manner.

We have also looked at the higher, spiritual principles of man ruling instincts, and how they apply to a greater philosophy of life. Furthermore, we have discussed how the various Laws and principles may assist in man’s spiritual unfoldment, and ultimately, the transformation of society. From the above, we may conclude how an awareness and understanding of the many principles and laws of life are important for the metaphysician to apprehend, and how the conveyance to the masses of God’s Plan for man’s soul-evolution may be consummated.

Knowing the importance of Divine Laws and principles that aid soul-evolution–we suggest that further research and investigation be made in this field through meditation and contemplation; and through the study of traditional, spiritual wisdom of every past and present culture and civilization. The more we know about ourselves, and the universe that we live in, the more we will live in accord with the grand design of the Universal Mind. It would be helpful for metaphysicians to compile an encyclopedia of Cosmic Laws and principles with examples of their application, not only in the metaphysical field, but in daily life as well. This would be a great reference for the practitioner. what we know about life is still merely the tip of the iceberg. One thing that we should avoid is the crystallization of the mind with its expression of complacency, arrogance, and fanaticism. Such a mind refuses to grow and search for truths for fear of the unveiling of the unknown. Making the “unknown” known is the raison d’?tre of the metaphysician.
